Our Mission
The mission of Cattyshack Rescue and Sanctuary is to give every cat a second chance at life through rescue, adoption, and long-term care. We are dedicated to advocating for the humane treatment of all cats, educating the public on the importance of the need to spay/neuter, and encouraging trap-neuter-return (TNR) approach to help control and protect the feral cat population in our community.
Our Story
Cattyshack Rescue and Sanctuary began in October 2024 after a few feral cats showed up at our founder’s home in Blytheville, Arkansas. What started with feeding a few hungry faces quickly turned into something bigger—a realization that there were so many cats in our community who needed help, and not enough places for them to go. That’s when Cattyshack was born. Today, we rescue, care for, and advocate for cats of all kinds—from friendly strays to ferals who need a safe place to land. Working from our home and with the support of dedicated fosters, we provide both adoptive homes and long-term sanctuary, depending on what each cat needs. We also believe strongly in the power of TNR to protect and manage the local feral population. At the heart of it all is our mission: giving second chances, one cat at a time.
